Not long after we started our proofreading and editing business, we were awarded the prize for 'Getting Around' Wellington by the Wellington City Council and the Sustainability Trust.
This award recognises voluntary changes to car-use habits, and in the space of a year we reduced our car trips so dramatically that we were chosen as the overall winners for the award. By working from home we almost eliminated work-related travel. We also shopped online and had our groceries delivered, sold both of our vehicles and used public transport instead.
We continue to monitor our impact on the environment, and make changes wherever possible.
Environmental responsibility and dwindling resources are a concern for us and many of our clients. We have always been committed to doing our part for the environment; we reduce, reuse, and recycle as much as possible.
This includes using 100% post-consumer content recycled copier paper, refilling ink cartridges when empty, and printing only when necessary using both sides of the paper. We achieve this without any compromise in quality of service to our clients, and maintain document security and confidentiality at all times.
